Research Desk integrates with ReDem for post-field data cleaning. All projects run on Research Desk qualify for complimentary data cleaning with Rep Data’s dedicated cleaning team.

Submission limits

You can submit up to 3 data cleaning requests per project. Plan your submissions around soft-launch review, mid-field checks, and final closeout.

Opening the data cleaning form

You can open the data cleaning form in two ways:
  1. From the navigation bar — Select Data Cleaning in the left-hand banner
  2. From a project — Use the Data Cleaning action on a project to pre-fill project context
When opened from the navigation bar, select A data cleaning request and search for the related project.

What the form collects

The form gathers the information the cleaning team needs to scope and execute the engagement. Fields may be pre-populated from your project when you open the form from a project context. Review all pre-filled values before submitting. Correct any project or survey references that do not match your request. If you do not provide specific cleaning parameters, the team runs a generic clean for speeders, straight-liners, and poor open-ends.

After submission

Submitting the form creates a Research Desk Data Cleaning Case in Rep Data’s case management system. The cleaning team reviews your request and returns a report of flagged IDs with removal reasons.
