Performance Indicators give directional feedback on whether field metrics match your estimated specs. They appear on Projects and Surveys list pages.

What is measured

Currently, indicators compare:
  • Estimated vs. actual LOI (length of interview)
  • Estimated vs. actual IR (incidence rate)
Additional variables may be added in future releases.

Indicator colors

Using the indicator

  1. Click the indicator on a project or survey row to open a diagnostic popup
  2. Review which metric (LOI or IR) is driving the warning
  3. Follow the hyperlink to review and adjust survey metrics

Fixing yellow or red indicators

When status is yellow or red, click the wrench icon on the right to open the adjustment page. From there you can:
  • Update survey specs (LOI, IR) to reflect actual field performance
  • Adjust Buy Price (BCPI) on individual sources
Misaligned specs throttle supplier traffic. Updating specs and CPI together is usually more effective than CPI alone. See Best Practices.

Relationship to project health

Performance Indicators complement the broader health signals described in Managing Fieldwork:
  • Defender terms — pre-survey quality blocks
  • Over-quotas — quota cells full but still receiving entrants
  • Abandons — dropouts, often from broken redirects or long surveys
  • Low IR — fewer entrants qualifying than expected
