REVIEW provides text analysis of open-ended survey responses, producing a composite quality score along with copy/paste, profanity, engagement, language, and LLM-detection signals.

Core Functionality

  • Advanced text quality analysis using machine learning models
  • Copy/paste detection through behavioral monitoring and content analysis
  • Profanity and inappropriate content identification
  • Language detection and confidence scoring
  • Contextual relevance assessment against survey questions
  • AI-generated content detection (LLM identification)
  • Response engagement and effort measurement
  • Similarity detection across responses within the same question

Key Features

  • Composite Scoring: Combines multiple quality indicators into a single assessment score
  • Copy/Paste Detection: Identifies responses pasted from external sources
  • Contextual Analysis: Evaluates response relevance to the specific question asked
  • Language Intelligence: Supports multiple languages with confidence scoring
  • Behavioral Timing: Analyzes typing patterns and response completion time
  • LLM Detection: Identifies artificially generated responses from language models
  • Similarity Analysis: Detects duplicate or near-duplicate responses

JavaScript Integration

REVIEW includes specialized JavaScript libraries for:
  • Real-time copy/paste detection
  • Typing behavior analysis
  • Page interaction monitoring
  • Response timing measurement
The copy/paste and timestamp functionality requires the REVIEW library. See JavaScript Libraries and Enabling JavaScript Interaction Library below.

Typical Use Cases

  • Open-ended response quality validation
  • Detection of low-effort or copied responses
  • Profanity and content moderation
  • Multi-language survey response analysis
  • Academic and professional research quality assurance

Integration Options

Review Integration

Load the review library, collect timing and behavioral data, and send the respondent’s answer to REVIEW with GET or POST.

GET vs POST

There is a cap on the number of characters that can be sent on a GET call.

Input Parameters

Additional Response Parameters

Score node

Model node

Input node

Echoes the request: q_id, text, sn_ud, sy_nr, question, country_code, and similarity_text_length (the s_text_length value sent).

Response Example

See the REVIEW endpoint reference for the full parameter list and a live playground.

Enabling JavaScript Interaction Library

The copy/paste and timestamp functionality requires the REVIEW JS library. Include it on the page header:
Then initialize scReviewLib with your environment, publishable key, an element-ID object, and the four listeners (pageLoadListener, copyPasteListener, textEventListener, submitEventListener):
REVIEW’s supported languages are listed in the REVIEW Supported Languages reference.
